About us

CREATED in 2016, Open Road Productions is a theatre company based in the East Midlands.

As of 2019, our portfolio consists of three original musicals and two one man shows. Each of them having been created and performed in Derbyshire. We have also taken Moving Bodies (our one man war show) to rural communities such as Heckmondwike (Yorkshire) and Melbourne Assembly Rooms.

Our Mission is to create EXCITING and ENGAGING theatre by collaborating with EMERGING, PROFFESIONAL and COMMUNITY artists, telling stories to a wide range of audience members.

Using original ideas or by picking a play off the shelf, All our stories need to have an element of TRUTH; To tell stories about people, communities, places, events. The theatre we produce should not be used to advocate a message. We want to create THOUGHT PROVOKING THEATRE not thought imposing.

Daniel is a very keen Director, Stage Manager and Sound Designer/Composer. He is a strong believer that as a Theatre Maker you don't have to choose one discipline within the arts and that it is important to develop the areas that interest you.
